The Harris week at a glance

We started our week off with Joel Manwill coming Monday morning and doing occupational therapy with Kaitrynn. Since she came home from the hospital on a NJ tube, she automatically qualified for the Davis Early intervention program. This is through the Davis County School District. He comes one day every two week for and hour to do different things with Kaitrynn. Here she is sitting on an exercise ball. He is seeing if her trunk muscles are becoming stronger. Then the opposite weeks I take her to Primary Children's Rehabilitation here in Bountiful. She sees Roxann. I feel this has helped her a lot.

Things are going well at the Harris household. I got this cute picture of Kairtynn doing tummy time. This is her least favorite chore for the day. If I am consistent with it each day, she seems to be able to go a little longer each day. She had her 6 month check up this week. She is up to 12 lbs 5 0z and 24 and 3/4 inches. The doctor was happy with the progress she is making. She is still our itty bitty girl and Mom is enjoying her being so little.
Brooklynn is doing well she is doing Dance one day a week and is enjoying the last couple of months of school. She is ready for the warm weather.

Easter Dresses 2008

Easter Sunday 2008 I got Brennen a tie that would match the girls dresses. Everyone looked so pretty. Daddy looked really handsome with his two princesses. We went to our ward, I had to teach Relief Society. My Mom came and heard me give my lesson. She said that I did a very exceptional job. Thanks Mom for coming and supporting me in this endeavor. Then after church we went over to my parents house. We had a great day and the girls seem to have a fun filled day. It was fun to dress them up in their pretty dresses. Even Kaitrynn new she looked so pretty.

A Babies First Word

Kaitrynn turned 6 months old on the 18 th of this month. Wow "O" wow where has the time gone. Today Brennen and I had an appointment with Dr. Hutson. While we were waiting for him to come in the room, we were sitting there talking with Kaitrynn. We were telling her MAMA and DADA. All of the sudden she said as day. I had to double check with Brennen to really make sure that this was her first word. Indeed it was !!

Kaitrynn's first word MAMA !

I am one proud Mom. Brooklynn said DaDa first if I remember right? So we are even :) .

Cute Little Thumb Splints

Kaitrynn is displaying her thumb splints for you. She is under the weather today. This morning she just didn't seem like she felt well. I called the Dr. She wanted to see her. I took her in and she has her first fever today of 1oo.5. Everything checked out ok at the office. She will have a CBC done today to make sure she doesn't have an infection anywhere. This child doesn't do things easy :) . We love her and are so grateful for her. I love both of my girls so... Much!!!!!!!!!

Kaitrynn's Thumb Splints
This is one of Kaitrynn's thumb splints. She were given to her by Roxann her Occupational Therapist. She will need to have these for about a year , or longer if needs be. She doesn't seem to mind them at all. She doesn't really even notice they are there. These will help pull her thumbs out so she can grasp things correctly.

Grandpa Duane (SKIP) Harris & Kaitrynn Harris

Grandma Shirley Harris & Kaitrynn Harris 5 months

We went to Logan just for the night this last weekend. This was Kaitrynn's fist night away from home other then in the hospital. She had a sleepover at Grandma Shirley's and Pappas house. She slept really well. We got up and went to church with them on Sunday morning. Brook had fun feeding the squirrrels with her Pappa.

Fun Times

Brooklynn asked if she could use the digital camera the other day. She went in her room and this is what I found on the camera. She is really into makeup and dress up and doing her own hair. She had fun this day. Brooklynn is enjoying school and thinks science is fun! She is looking forward to summer, so she can be home with mom and her sister.
