Yeah the first week of school is behind us !!!!!

Brooklynn has completed her first week of 2nd grade. It seems it was a little stressful at times. I forget each year the first week of school, you get the wonderful melt downs each day after school. Friday she let me have it. I just sat there and listened to her and didn't take offense to it. This has and will go on each year as she makes her way through school. Brooklynn has test anxiety like her Mom. She doesn't like them and this week she has let me know that. She doesn't liked to be rushed with her work. She likes to do it in her own time frame and not be rushed not even by her teacher. Let me know if you haven't had a meltdown with your kids this week? I would be surprised. As a Mother I am glad that I remembered that she does this each year and this is part of the first week of school. I was glad that I just sat back and relaxed. When I was done listening to her vent, I said it is a 3 day weekend lets enjoy the weekend. you won't have to worry about school until Tuesday Morning. Despite the obstacles this week she does like her teacher which I am grateful for as her Mom. I love my Brooklynn I couldn't imagine my life with out her. Good luck this next week MOMS :).

Look Mom caught my toothies

Kaitrynn got her first two bottom teeth at 9 1/2 months. She hasn't really wanted to show them to anyone. I was playing with the camera today. Look what I caught !!!!

Kaitrynn is 15lbs 4 0z !!!

Kaitrynn had her weight check today. She lost 2 ounces last weight check. This week she gained 6 oz. This is the most she has weighed in her short little 11 months of life. 15 lbs 4 oz is awesome. She is eating lots of food. I was eating a banana on Sunday and she asked for a bite, in her own little way. She ate half of it. She is enjoying the experience of new foods. She is going to be a small little one year old on the 18th, but a healthy one.

First day of school 2008

Brooklynn is in the 2nd grade. I can't believe I have a second grader. Her teacher is Mrs. Whitesides. She had a great first day and looks forward to a great year.

I know Kaitrynn will miss her sister while she is at school. This morning I had her in "I am the little sister shirt". Again ahhhh modern technology.




Today was Brooklynn's first day of school. I took way cute photos of both the girls this morning and some how they are on video on my computer. I took these this after school. Ahhh the joys of modern technology :) .

End of Summer Fun !!!!!!!!!!!!

Kaitrynn is 11 months old where has this precious time gone. Brooklynn has had tons of fun playing with her sister this summer. Thanks to Jackie for this cute outfit.




Brooklynn has been dreaming of doing this since Kaitrynn was born. Putting her in a laundry basket and pulling or pushing her around the house. Kaitrynn loved the idea too!!!!!!!




Brooklynn has really enjoyed the pool this summer. We feel blessed to have it at our home.

We have a little peanut on our hands !!!!

Yesterday I took Kaitrynn for her 2 week weight check appointment. She has weighed 15 lbs the last 4 weeks. Her weight yesterday was 14 lbs and 14oz. She will be 11 months on the 18th of this month. She is just a little peanut. The Dr. isn't one bit worried about her weight. She is eating 4 to 6 containers of baby food a day and loves anything we give her. This week I gave her a taste of a Dill pickle. She loved it she is my kind of girl. With the Summer months and her swimming I should say kicking her feet in the water and with her being the age she is moving a lot they are happy with her progress. She says" U OOOO" now and it is so .... cute. She will say it most times on demand. It has been a real joy having her in our home.
Brooklynn starts school on the 25th of August. She is hoping for a better school year this year. She has had a fun summer playing with her sister and friends. This week she asked me "Mom how old will I be when Kaitrynn is 7 years old. " I told her she would be 14 years old. She responded "O " "I will still love her and want to play with her." These two do have a special bond and they are sisters forver.
