Christmas Day 2008
Merry Christmas to each of you. It's a snowy windy day here in Utah. We are to have a major snow storm blowing in later this afternoon. We have had a great day so far. My Father in law came on Tuesday and was here for Christmas Morning. He is always has a fun time with the girls and bring them unique gifts. Kaitrynn has began to figure out the crawling thing slowly, but surely. Today my Christmas gift from her is that she crawled about 8 steps. She thinks she's pretty cool when we cheer for her. She seemed to be trying to figure this whole holiday out. She is really into Elmo. She says Elmo, so cute in her sweet little voive. Santa braught her a Elmo cell phone. Brooklynn still believes in Santa. Each year I always say "I hope I can get one more year out of her believing." Will see for next year. Santa braught her a bike. A few things of High School Musical just a few things. Brennen and I have enjoyed spending the day together. We are both grateful for the birth of the savior and the role that he plays in our lives and our families lives. I didn't get much for Christmas, but I didn't expect much. I have everything that I need. The one thing I really wanted was for all of our family to be well and healthy, so we could get together. That did happen. The highlight of my Christmas was the chance I had to speak to my little Brother Peter who is in Monterrey, Mexicio on his mission. My parents didn't buy as much for us this year, and sent money to Peter in Mexico. He was able to pick a family in need this year and gave them Christmas that they may not have had. He informed me that the people in Mexico make $50.00 a week there and work long hard days. Most of the people as we know there are very poor, but he says they are so happy too. He says the young kids talk to him all the time about the United States. How we have front yards with grass, carpet in our homes, things that we tend to take for granted. It really put things into perspective. Many of the people that he is with at this time live in a one room house, not made out of wood like the children dream about in the great USA. I am grateful for our freedoms and for the things that we have. I am grateful this day for those who are serving or have served in the armed forces. I especially thank those that are serving away from their families this holiday season. I love you and thank you for keeping us FREE. May each of you have a wonderful New Year! We love all of you and are greateful for all of your love and support.

Miss Kaitrynn update
Wow where have these last 15 months gone. I took her to the Dr. Yesterday for her 15 month well check. She had an ear infection just starting. Great thing we caught it before the holidays. She had to get three shots, all that I have been through with this little peanut this is still a hard thing for me to have to see. She weighed 18lbs 1 oz. She is gaining weight great the last couple of months. Her weight was on the 3 percent tile. Yeah she is finally on the charts. Her height was 29 3/4 inches. She is 40% on her height. Her head is 18 1/4. She is 75% on her head. One smart cookie as Nanny would say. She is doing well and the Dr. was pleased with her progress. I put her fingers in the snow yesterday just a little and she stared to cry. She didn't seem to like it one bit.

Look What I saw ????
Last night I went to put Kaitrynn to bed. I thought she was tired a few minutes later I heard Brooklynn calling me. I went into her room and this is what I found. A cute little girl sitting up in her crib with this cute look on her face. Look at what I figured out Mom!! She has gotten enough strength in her upper body to pull her self up in a sitting position in her crib. We will have to drop the crib tonight to the next level, so she won't fall out. She can almost get into a sitting position from the floor. Keep up the good work baby Kaitrynn.

Kaitrynn's first haircut
Kaitrynn had her first hair cut a couple of Saturdays ago. She didn't even cry. I credit that to her BIG SISTER holding her through the process. I also took her to the Dr. this last week for a weight check. She gained ONE POUND this month . Yes you heard it right ONE POUND this month. We were all so... thrilled. She is now up to 17lbs 5 oz. She also has been approved for RSV shots, this will help her, so she will hopefully not get the virus.

MRI at Primary Children's Hospital
Brooklynn had to have a MRI yesterday at PMCH. She was very brave, children birth to 8 they sedate. She had to have an IV and was really nervous and upset about it. My friend Joe that is a child Life Specialist came down and helped her get through the traumatic moment. The nurse told her that she did IV's all day long. She ended up having to stick her twice. The nurse blew the fist vain. Brooklynn asked through the tears if she could give that hand a break and do it in the other hand? She then said to the nurse if you don't get it then? Will you have to do it to another part of my body? Luckily she got it the second time around. She went through the procedures with flying colors. Why the MRI in the first place? Brookynn has had hearing loss since the Kindergarten that we were aware of. This school year she has been struggling, so I took her to the ENT and he said lets try to figure out why she has the hearing loss. They took blood work and the MRI was done. The RESULTS are back. There is NO answers! The MRI came back normal and long with the blood work. That is a true blessing, but we will never know the cause of the hearing loss. She has had about 30 ear infections since the age of 10 months. They are not convinced that this is where the loss is from. They are all at a loss. What is the next step? Hearing aide at least in the left ear and see if that gives her some relief? My girls have had to go through a lot of medical things, but they are both healthy and happy. You think you have it bad just go spend some time at PMCH and see a 22 month old cancer patient and it kind of put things into perspective.

Look AT Me I am having An EKG
Kaitrynn was born with Bicuspid aortic stynosis. To make a long story short! She only has 2 blood vessels in her left aortic valve. She should have 3 blood vessels. What does this mean? It means the right side of her heart has to work a lot harder to compensate for her left side. She may need heart surgery at one point. They said in the year 2007 that she will need a heart valve replacement at age 50, so we have to do and see Dr.Petco every few months to check her heart. We went this week and everything looked great. Her EKG came out normal. We are thankful for Dr. Petco and for Primary Children's Hospital. We are so blessed to have such a fine hospital in our area.

The sisters
Wow! The last couple of weeks have been crazy with little sicknesses. I took Brooklyn back to the Doctor this week, for a recheck on her Pneumonia situation. She was not all cleared up, so the Dr. went ahead and gave her another round of antibiotics LOVELY :). Then she called the children's hospital and scheduled a CT scan to check her sinuses out. It disturbed the Dr. that she came down with Pneumonia. To make a long story short I am taking her to the ENT on Tuesday and we will be talking with him about having a sinus surgery to clean them out.
Kaitrynn wasn't even done with her round of antibiotics and came down this weekend with a 100.5 fever and 101. I took her to the Insta Care this weekend. She checked out okay. They said they have had lots of kids coming in with high fevers and this is the only symptom. I am home today trying to keep her happy. This is my favorite time of year. I love the leaves changing etc, but I didn't ask for the sicknesses. O well good comes with the bad. Have a great week all.

She did enjoy eating her cake
Kaitrynn started to cry even before we got done singing Happy Birthday to her.
This was her cake. Brennen gave her the nickname PEANUT. We thought we would make a peanut cake. Thanks to my aunt Holly for the great job!!!!
This is Kaitrynn's "KEL KEL". This is my sister Kelly Wosnik. She spent a lot of time with her at the party.
This is Grandma Debbie Wosnik. Kaitrynn Loves her Grandma. It is cute to see what she does when she sees her.
This photo is "PRICELESS". This is our little cousin Katherine Harris. She is the cute thing. She asked if she could hold Kaitrynn. This is the cute pose I got.

A double ear infection
Kaitrynn came down today with a double ear infection. One day before her first birthday. I have not seen her this sick in awhile. Brooklynn had 30 ear infections before age 2. I asked the Dr. today what her plans were with Kaitrynn? She said if she gets 2 more then she will have her go in for tubes Lovely. They put Kaitrynn on Amoxicillian. Hopefully by the time we have our family party on Saturday she will be feeling perkie.

The sickness is in the air
Brooklynn complained about a sore throat last Thursday. I monitored her over night to see if it got worse. She woke up Friday morning and couldn't breathe ( she really was she was just full of gunk in her throat). We went to the Dr.that afternoon. She came down with Pneumonia that fast. She has never had that before. She laid around all weekend. Needless to say we had a fun filled boring weekend. She was so.. sick she just laid around. We are starting the week off with Kaitrynn's nose running like mad and has a 100 degree fever. This is my most favorite time of year. I love when the leaves start to change, but I don't like when my darling get sick. I am hoping we get a better night sleep tonight. Stay tuned.....
