Immunologist Update on Kait
We went yesterday for a follow up with Dr. Jones. He was concerned on some blood work that had been done at 3 months of age. He was concerned with the function of her T cell. Also her red blood cells appear smaller than they should be. He went ahead and had a blood draw once again yesterday. Poor little Kaitrynn knows what is coming before we get there. The thing that is concerning to him is her MCV (when you do a CBC). The past blood draw they were low and they continue to be low! Will have to see what the test come back like next week. We are waiting for the rest of the results next week. Some of this could also be genetic or from her heart condition she was born with. Faith is so hard at times or do I say patience!!!

Poor Kaitrynn one thing after another
All I have to say is that she is a trooper!!! She woke up 2 nights ago with a fever. She ended up in the ER last night! She has some kind of infection in her body! It wasn't apparent to them where? All the blood work indicated was infection. They gave her fluids and some IV antibiotics and sent us home. We had to follow up with our DR. today! They are waiting for the blood tests to grow to see what the infection is. The preliminary test show E. Coli, but we will have to see if that grows more. She had a high white band count at 21. She is doing much.... better today, but will have to stay on an antibiotic through the weekend until we know what kind of infection she had. We may not know where it was. All I know is she was so... sick and it hit her fast and hard. The Dr. today is refereeing me to another specialist that deals with immune Systems. We shall see what that holds in store for us!!!

Kaitrynn turned 3
This is the only good photo I got of Kaitrynn on her birthday! I used a different camera and it failed me. She had a wonderful birthday! Thanks, to all those who were able to come and party it up with us!!!! She is doing well! she will have her staples out tomorrow morning! Her stomach has seemed to heal really well. The mysterious stomach pain that has been her trial since birth seems to be subsiding a little. We are on two nights in a row with out stomach pain!!!!!!!!! This is a huge milestone for Kaitrynn yesterday! She actually sat down for the first time and ate all three meals for the day. We have had a real struggle getting her to eat the last 3 years! That's why we had to implement the G- tube! She wakes up every morning and asks for a bowl of cereal first thing! I am so glad that she is eating and is thriving !!!!! All my hard work is paying off YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are home!!!!!!!!
Kaitrynn had her surgery today and was able to come home. They didn't have to keep her in the hospital overnight!!! YEAH!!!! They sent her home on pain medications and an antibiotic. She had 2 staples at the sight. Those will be removed on the 25th of this month!!! Grateful all went well today!! Thanks, for all the thoughts and prayers~!
Come What May and LOVE It!!!!!!!!
Life has been very interesting to say the least for our little Kaitrynn. We are heading in for surgery this morning. We took out the feeding tube (G-tube) back in
February of this year! It has been 7 months and it hasn't healed all the way. At times the tube leaks and stomach acid gets on her skin etc... They will go in at 1o this morning and have the procedure done. She will have to stay in the hospital overnight, since they are sewing shut a major organ in her body. She was given a priesthood blessing last night and so, did the Mom. I am grateful for the opportunity that God has given me the chance to raise her and be her earthly Mother despite the obstacles. She is a special spirit. I love both of my girls so much!!! I will update later today!!!!!!
