Life is so..... uncertain ????

Kaitrynn's test came back all normal. This is one frustrated Mom, I don't know who to believe or who not to believe. All I know is that I have a baby that screams at night. If I have 3 GI docs that are at a loss? Who knows what to think. I have heard everyone's opinion's and I have tried all of the suggestions. I am about ready to scream as my 8 year old is screaming at me. I took her to the library and the dollar store and this is what I get. O the joys of Motherhood.
what's next?? I guess I am being passed off to the nuero surgery docs? Let's see how many tests they will run and tell me that they are all normal.

Kaitrynn update

So... the MRI has finally come back. It showed that her spine (tethered cord) hasn't changed since the last MRI when she was 3 months old. The Question is does she still have one, and this is causing all of the pain? They would like to do another MRI on her brain to rule out anything there? The plan for tonight is do a sleep study. The results from that woun't come back until Monday. They are doing an EEG to see if she is having seisures at night? She is also being tested for Restless leg sydrom. This is treated by giving the kids more iron. They are usually low on iron to start with, but not enimic. Kaitrynn's blood test did come back with low levels of iron. They hope this is the issue? I am so... tired and have been told this is it time and time again? I am not holding out hope that this is it:). The sleep study will see if she has RLS, seisures and we will see if she has a stomach episodes or not. She was so.. tired last night from the drugs they gave her for the MRI she slept like a champ last night. Of course I didn't because I was waiting for her to do her thing. They say this sleep study is a reaaallll... fun test. Plan for tomorrow is possible MRI on the Brain and an ECHO to check her heart. She already has a heart issue that is in good standing, but she needs an ECHO every few months. Stay tuned as Paul Harvey would say "For the rest of the story". Thanks to all of you for your comments and prayers.

Hotel Primary's here we are

Kairynn has been admitted to Primary Children's Hospital once again. The issue of her stomach pain needs to be adressed. She continues to wake up at night with termindous pain. We have dealt with this issue for months and cannot get to the bottom of it. We have exahusted all resorces out patient, so we are now inpatient. We are feeling right at home, as this is her 4th hospital admission in her short 21 months of life. The nurses have been excited to see us again, but of course not in this setting. They all have a love for the children that they serve here at the hospital. The fist order of business was an MRI. They wanted to see if she has a tethered cord. This is where her spine and tailbone are connected. That is not normal for it to be that way. This is one of the many things it can be. I am just way tired of having no sleep and a child in pain all if the time at night. We shall see stay tuned. I will try to keep you all updated as we are here. We are in room 4316. Please keep Baby Kate in your prayers. Love to you all!!!

I am almost there, I am so close

Last night I came home from the gym to find Kaitrynn, walking out of her room pushing her highchair. She has a car that can help her walk, but she has seems to like this better. She is so.... close to walking. She just needs the self confidence. She goes all over with her little chair. She can turn it around and change directions etc. She thinks she is big stuff.

Run Run Run !!!!

I decided back in March that I would try to run my first half marathon. I have 58 days until the race. I thought I would never make it over the 5 mile mark? Brennen said I would. Well today I did it. 6 miles the most I have ever ran in my life. I felt like I could keep running more, but didn't want to push it. I can't even begin to tell you how I feel when I am done. Running has been the best stress reliever for me. I am excited for AUGUST 8TH the day of the race. It is Orem and it is 13.6 miles. They say it is all down hill! I am running it with my sister Kelly!

Kaitrynn update: I have put her on a Gluten free diet as of a week. She has eatin like a horse this week. I am hoping she has gained some of the weight she has lost. She lost a pound a couple of weeks ago. She has never tested positive for celiac disease, but that is not always the case. Test can be wrong wrong wrong. I am going to take her to the Dr. tomorrow for a weight check. I also have put her on Nutrem Jr. it is a special formula. It is about 8 oz and it has 250 calories per can. She drinks 4 to 5 of these the last 2 days I have had her on it. I feel some what relieved, but don't want to get to excited, because all could change. This does look like the most promising think yet! I may not have a baby that is fading away before my eyes anymore. Cross your fingers you all that this works for her and our family!
